Biography

I was born in Ohrid, Macedonia and I’m 20 years old. During my primary school years, I discovered my first hobby, photography. Firstly, I started taking photos with my cell phone and after a few years, in 2015, I bought my first DSLR. I was inspired by many photographers from my hometown, and I fell in love with their style. I started photographing everything for 2 years. In 2017 I got more serious about photography as I tried to photograph the Perseid Meteor Shower in August, of the same year. The picture that I shot that night ended on a post on CNN, a day after. I was really happy about it and since then Astrophotography has become my passion. My pictures are based in my hometown. Many of my photos are published on the leading website for Science and Education, Earthsky.org.

I’ve always been interested in the night sky from very early on in my life. It was a couple of years ago when I realized I could put my interest in the night sky into an art piece. It all began in 2017 when I and my friends decided to photograph the Perseid Meteor Shower. From then on, we made it a tradition to go on a photography adventure every year in August just to enjoy the beauty of the night sky.

It was not long ago when a picture of mine got in the choice of the best astronomy picture of the day (APOD) by NASA. I took a picture of the Comet NEOWISE as it was visible right after sunset and somehow I managed to find an email for NASA’s APOD and my picture got chosen by them. The popular Brazilian magazine, Universo Online has published my image as one of the best 10 pictures of the Comet chosen by NASA.
